Tea holds a rare pairing in its chemistry — caffeine and L-theanine, one lifting attention while the other settles the nervous system. Awake, but soft, dropping you into intimacy with self. Two DJs curate each session live, drawing from the musical lineage, on vinyl and digital. One hour to alchemise the weekend down into something still and alive.
Host & DJ Asha Franco
Born and raised in the Northern Rivers, with roots across North Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. Asha's love of music is an expression of how she was brought up — a house of many cultures, and a wide range of genres passing through it. For her, music is a form of communication, and her selections carry all of it.
DJ
Eva J has been throwing events and doing radio for over a decade. Her escapades span from bootleg warehouse parties, to audiophile clubs, Dutch radio, and your mum's 50th at Durrumbul hall.
These days she goes to bed at 10pm, and instead channels the love for sonic curation into sessions at a deep listening space in Naarm, weaving music with mind-body awareness. Expect sounds that are deep, playful and transcendent.
Tea Servers
Bela is a facilitator and teacher devoted to the practice of coming home to ourselves.
She is interested in what becomes possible when we stop moving so quickly past our own experience. When we become quiet enough to hear what the heart already knows. Her work is an invitation into a more honest relationship with ourselves, and with life.
Tea has become part of this practice for Bela. A ritual of attention, offering a place to slow down, arrive, and share in the simplicity of being here together.
Allegra is a multidisciplinary artist and creative visionary based in Byron Bay. Her creative work spans acting, music, and filmmaking, and tea has become one of her practices to return home to herself and attune to inspiration. She is devoted to cultivating the hearts loving capacity to be with all life. And brings a field of loving presence and depth when she pours tea, holding a space for you to turn inwards.
